Who?
Actinode distinguishes between different types of vehicles and vehicle owners. Is it a privately owned car? A municipality owned bus or a carpentry owned transport vehicle? This makes it possible to identify different visitor segments.
Why?
Actinode provides real-time data on the purpose of the traffic: is the flow socially essential (residents, services, deliveries, emergency services), or is it primarily tourism-related, driven by visitor pressure or specific events?
Where from?
By analyzing postal codes, we can see which areas generate the most visitors and how these flows change between seasons.
How often?
The system measures traffic continuously and shows changes in real time. This makes it possible to track recurring vehicles and see trends, day by day, week by week, or season by season.
How?
Analyze movement behavior, such as speed, flow, and anomalies. This can also show you who and how many are breaking traffic regulations.
What?
Knowing what type of vehicle is on the road helps manage traffic flow and infrastructure planning. With Actinode you get a detailed view of the composition of the vehicle fleet.
When?
Track timestamps for movement. How is the fleet spread out over the day, week and month? What is the seasonal variation?

How is Actinode installed?
It is easily mounted on existing traffic signals or lighting poles. The system is plug-and-play and remotely managed through the EdevaLive platform.
What does GDPR say about license plate cameras?
License plate numbers are considered personal data, as they can be linked to an individual if the vehicle is privately owned.
Under GDPR, a legitimate interest is required to process personal data. Public authority tasks constitute a legitimate interest, and this includes collecting traffic statistics. This means it is fully acceptable for municipalities to collect this type of data. We will assist you with all the paperwork.
What does the Camera Surveillance Act say about license plate cameras?
Both the Camera Surveillance Act and GDPR must be considered when using cameras. It varies between countries if and how you need to apply to a goverment body to be allowed to install a camera.
